Photography, like all art, tells a story and captures the journey and evolution of that story; where people meet, how someone became drawn to another, the rediscovery of our own lives and the beauty of Life. An image can be powerful in and of itself. However, it is the story that is shared that brings color to our lives and refreshes us with hope to rediscover the beauty in our own lives. To express these stories for the ages requires long days, especially early mornings to capture the grace of this world’s first light, and chasing the setting sun. The hours are killer, but I love the journey!
My origins take me back to Chicago, where I grew up in the Midwest. The sweeping skies of the flat lands and the billowing clouds were my mountains. Since 1996 I've made my home in Idaho Falls, amongst the Northwest. I've had a camera in my hands since I was in grade school. I have shot portrait, product, wildlife and landscape photography. However, my passion lies in photographing the landscapes of this world that we live in as there is story ever present in each moment captured.
Since 2012 I have been selling my own photography through juried art shows throughout the Northwest.
Since 2014 I have been working with Perfect Light Camera, Photo Adventure Workshops, and Yellowstone Camera as both an instructor and the guy you call with questions regarding your gear.
Mostly though, I am a reclaimer of wonder. It's my hope to inspire, encourage, and influence others for good - to rediscover the beauty in both this world and the people around them...and to remind each of us that there is more value in the person next to you than you might realize.  I find that one of the best ways to accomplish this is through the story that is captured from behind the lens.
